Registered Nurse Peter Mangiola presently serves as Managing Director of Senior Helpers of the Ocean and Burlington Counties, New Jersey, a business providing at-home care for the elderly. Guided by Peter Mangiola's vast experience and passion for supporting independent lifestyles for seniors, Senior Helpers provides its clients with solutions that allow the elderly to remain in the comfort of their own homes, a desirable alternative to nursing homes and assisted-living centers. After spending six years with the firm, Peter Mangiola and his wife, Maria, took possession of three franchises under the Senior Helpers name in 2007.
With more than three decades of industry experience, Peter Mangiola has functioned in a variety of medical settings and a collection of establishments. Following his graduation from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing in 1980, Peter Mangiola launched his career by rotating among several areas, including cardiovascular nursing units, recovery rooms, and hospital emergency rooms. In Peter Mangiola's next endeavor, he spent 1986 to 1996 with Skilled Nursing, Inc., traveling to teaching hospitals and sharing his wisdom and stories of firsthand medical encounters. These institutes included Cooper University Hospital, The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and Temple University Hospital.
Before joining forces with Senior Helpers in 2001, Peter Mangiola served at the Children's Seashore House, a facility that holds meaning for him. As a boy, Peter Mangiola was involved in a severe accident when his leg was run over by an automobile. As a result, he spent more than one year in rehabilitation at Children's Seashore House, and during this time, Peter Mangiola began to understand and appreciate the value of quality medical care and assistance. Once he was back on his feet, Peter Mangiola began volunteering and became determined to pursue a career that allowed him to connect with patients.
